Majestic Giant Sequoias in Los Feliz acquired some well deserved growing space by cutting back the hard edge of an existing concrete patio; which we then stained shades of brown and green to tone down the bright white and naturalize the look.

We removed formal rectilinear terraces and brought in soil to soften the grade for new winding decomposed paths and dry shade plants. The concrete slab in back, formerly used for a storage shed, was re-appropriated as a sitting patio for a fire pit; also cut, stained and accented with boulders.
